  4. F1 is heavily restricted. An engine for example should last many races and must be economic and rev is restricted too. The size of wings, wheels, everything is regulated. With this restricted car at Spa Ham and Bottas were slightly faster than this unrestricted 919 Evo.

  8.  @vr5lover  It is a LM car but unrestricted and pushed to the limits becoming an ONE LAP car. And so was on pair with F1 cars that use 4 engines per season and every wing and little thing like fuel consumption, RPM and so on is restricted. "Faster than most F1 cars" is misleading. By how much? 0.5 s? 1s? Make an unrestricted F1 car, make it for one lap and will gain in performance many seconds as 919 did.

  9.  @vr5lover  Dude, watch the video with braking record on Nordschleife. It is not LM car. The engine was pushed rough. In '80 you could have one lap engines. Instead of race engines with 900 CP they reached up to 1500 CP pushing them to the limits at the cost of reliability. They only resisted 1 - 3 laps. You can do the same with an actual F1 car gaining insane performance. You can modify wings and so on. Of course an unrestricted F1 car will gain many seconds compared to "stock" one. If you believe other thing I waste the time with you. It is what it is, let it that way.

  10.  @vr5lover  No one said 919 is made unrestricted from scratch - because that way you can make a jet engine car as you like. It is an unrestricted LM car aka modifying that car as possible. That way, making an one lap car, it matched an F1 car. An unrestricted F1 car will be a modified existing F1 car. That will push above any F1 actual car and of course above 919 evo too.

  11.  @vr5lover  For F1 you have 4 engines per season. You'll do a lot of downgrade in performance to make them that reliable. Will they be capable to finish 24 h race? No. They are made for 5 races meaning around 10 hours. LE: actually 5 races means much more than 10 hours. You have 3 practice sessions, each at least one hour, qual, warm up and the actual race. But 919 evo doesn't have the engine for 24 hours. It is pushed and will do a Nordschleife lap and most probably nothing more. It is a car for breaking a record and nothing more.

  12.  @vr5lover  Haha. Watch again and come here and tell me about power boost in CP.... Is the same engine if you modify TURBO for it? You can do the same trick with F1. For an unrestricted record breaking purpose car you will make modifications to gain power - by turbo, revs, fuel, gearbox, tires, wings, suspensions. You can touch anything. Not really the same car and for sure not the same performance.

  14. No and nope. This 1100 hp is for unrestricted version not for endurance one. That 1500 hp BMW L4 Turbo was an ONE LAP engine for qual. So it is tortured for performance and lasts only one lap.
