@tomcat1517 If someone kills you does it matter if it is for fun or hungry? Animals kill for fun too. It's instinct, it's pleasure. No empathy.

@tomcat1517 Empathy is the capacity to understand or feel what another person is experiencing from within their frame of reference, i.e., the capacity to place oneself in another's position. The predator can have no empathy and having fun with what it's doing. No contradiction here. It doesn't care (or even doesn't know) about the another's pain and likes to hunt, bite, grab, etc.
