  1. The government is the one that offers and rejects plea deals and it’s because of the costs that trials of this magnitude costs. I don’t agree with plea deals but could you imagine the amount of trials and how backed up the trial courts would be if every single defendant took it to trial? Hell it would be 10 years before anyone got their day in court.
