If in 2-3 years Ladybird becomes stable and usable, I'll ditch Brave and use it. I just wish it wasn't called that... sounds lame but that is the least of our problems right now.

I knew it was a small team, but I didn't think it was just one person! This is incredible! As a bilingual person, the implementation you've made to language switching was awesome already. But if we have to avoid changing manually, then that's even more greterer! (See? Bilingual). I truly love this keyboard and loved paying for it to support it. My next big wait is the custom themes, so I can customize like I used to with SwiftKey.

Whenever this browser is ready, paying a 5 dollar price for the "License" or whatever would be ok imo too. Seeing how much insane work and time is put into it, to also get something back and get some funds from the people as well... if it's something that is well done and does not lose itself like firefox did or the other ones that pretend but are basically the same scoobydoo enemy with a mask on. Clarification: I don't mean a subscription (please, don't lol) and also, you can remain independent if you have some income your way as well.

They could deploy a web version for browsers, maybe, but realistically speaking, 95% of people use a smartphone and they are either iOS or Android. The end.

Careful everybody. This keyboard prides itself in "not stealing from you", one would assume, "your data". But after I installed it and used it for about a month or two, it definitely stole my heart <3 My question is, how does this method help with swiping on other languages? I assume that you need to nail down English first, which is the main language developed in and for, and then you will go with other languages?

I paid Proton basic for months, for mail and calendar, and they take YEARS to make updates and adhere to what users upvote on the "suggestions/requests" forums. I had been asking and waiting for months for a different calendar widget view on Android. I'm no dev, idk how hard that is to make but c'mon, they're big, they sell on privacy, etc. and sell you their bundle with all the tools, etc. Their drive always worked super slow for me as well (free and paid), and the amount of storage was not much. "

That would in turn make it that software not free. Or only "technically free". Also, if the software was made by more than 1 person, they should be in as a "group" to which you'd have to pay. And that doesn't happen all the time that there's a structured legal collective of the developers where there's 1 assigned person on which, should you earn money for your software, you "trust" this person to do their job on paying everyone else. This is an L take in my opinion.

I disagree with the DRM and anticheat thing because if you think about it, we already have cheaters. Massive cheater problem. So I'd much rather not have DRM hurting performance in games and anti cheats being stupid. Louis, if you told my mother she can only install Windows on her laptop, she'd say "oh, ok". Not because she doesn't care, but because she doesn't know. She does not know how to click an X to close out the image viewer on Bing, despite her being able to intubate you to save your life with her eyes closed. It's ironically funny. Also, why not just call it "FUTO License" if the license for "commercially allowed open source" doesn't currently exist? Just put the name of the company since you're the ones creating it? Telegram gained market because it was FREE no paid anything before and it worked super well, it had many features that WhatsApp didn't have and even the ones that both had, Telegram sometimes had it better. Same for stickers, etc. Nowadays, at least for us here, Telegram audio messages take ages to load/download amongst other problems and you have all the premium paid features. Also, in the beginning, people believed Telegram to be "Good and secure", more than "the evil WhatsApp owned by Facebook/Meta" but in reality it's not really.

@kevinsimmons5481 I think the reason is as stated in the video, the models are local and even though you could do the fine tuning of the transformer model, the data they have for swiping is minuscule vs google and others, and that's why it's "dumb to learn", but hopefully it'll improve over time.

@geostokes8573 I don't know where you get "machismo" from this. I don't think it's lame because it's feminine, I think it's lame because it sounds lame to me lol. I don't care if it's feminine as long as it sounds cool. Something like "Andromeda" for example. But it's not because it's feminine. "Nobara Linux" sounds feminine (imo) and it's ok. But like I said, the name is the least important of the problems right now so they shouldn't even think about it for the time being.

@StephenMcGregor1986 I would - when someone else says "Oh what is that?" or "which browser do you use?" you'd want something short, cool and memorable to recommend so more people start using it. But again as I said in original comment, is not important for the time being.
