@flipnshifty Wrong. Not American, but stores have fridges with beverages too. However, usually, unless really hot days in summer and especially for beer, fridges are not that cold just fresh (like in supermarkets). It's not enough cold for the drink to be drank as a cold drink. Also it wouldn't last on your trip home, and even less after the months he spends in without going out.
