  31. Hi Brandon, Argentinian here. I'm not that surprised to be honest that a well spoken prominent "internet" figure is running for congress. We've had the same happen with a couple, two of the most notorious ones are now running for president and national representative (an economist and a criminal lawyer, respectively). Whether it's good or bad, I don't know. You can never know as I'm sure people can't really know for sure with you. But I am a firm believer that the fact that you do X, in this case YouTube videos, doesn't mean you DON'T know about other things whether it is the topic you talk about as content or beyond (law, business management, etc). And there is also this thing of regular everyday people putting their shit on the line doing this, which brings a set of fresh air and it's not the same stupid ass of the same face but a different name running again and again pretending they care. You might be wondering why I would be commenting here, even if I don't live in the country. Well, I also believe that regardless of political affiliation, global agendas are a thing and they're bad. Fun example: During the pandemic, we had officially from the government (lefties) a woman dressed as a clown explaining covid in "friendly clown terms" or whatever the fuck that was. I saw that and I thought "Oh, of course these would do something like this! Of course we'd see that in this country of clowns!". And then, months after, it happened for you guys. Or not you as a country, but a part of it (for better or worse, thankfully the USA state division is actually a thing that works unlike pretending having 21 provinces is good for anything at all when they're under the same umbrella). So at that point, I thought: Are these idiots reading from the same "for dummies" manual? Like what the fuck is this? And started thinking a lot of similarities between our countries, despite their big differences, and then the rest of the world. Kinda nuts how things repeated themselves throughout on different levels. It was kinda scary. "Conspiranoico" we'd say. (paranoid + conspiracy). News sources for reference, just in case anyone is wondering Aug 16th: https://www.lanacion.com.ar/sociedad/quien-es-payasa-filomena-aparecio-reporte-matutino-nid2422911/ Oct 29th: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/oregon-clown-coronavirus-deaths-costume-viral-twitter-b1405638.html Seeing that at the time, amongst many other things, and a lot of Republicans backing out from supporting Trump (clarification: not saying he's terrible or great, just stating the facts) or like you mentioned voting things against the supposed "republican idea" and "freedom" like fucking cowards, set a warning in my head. That's when I started my libertarian path, detaching from any side and looking everything and everyone with a critical pov. So I hope you keep your path straight and don't become a cuck like them. I also want to add something, if it's worth anything: the political divide in the entire world is at its highest ever. Or at least that is how I feel. Common values and traditions have been challenged all across the board everywhere on so many levels that now the gap in the middle of "right or wrong" is just so massive and taken personal by a lot of people that they will not give you an inch to talk about anything. For some, if you're right leaning let's say you're a nazi that doesn't care for safety or anything else or anyone else, and if you're left leaning you're "a retard". For the last 6 months I started wondering if being so "true" to traditions is actually the right way. Like sticking to that structure. In many areas it is, but you said it yourself as an example: Digital era, we need CURRENT people that understand this shit to legislate, not the 90 year old dinosaurs that barely know how to operate a phone. So in this case it's the same, I look at it as when someone goes to the doctor and says they have elbow pain, but doctors say it's not real because they have nothing wrong in their body. That person might be lying but it's a high chance they actually do feel the pain. Same for all this social issues shit that has happened in the last decade. What I'm getting at is hopefully you will listen to the other side and not keep that banner of "democrats bad, democrats stupid". I know sometimes it's hard to believe but a lot of people on that side are very smart and capable, not all of them have a big red nose and big shoes. The issue is that those parties usually take the shittiest approach to solving those issues, assuming they want to solve them at all. As you mentioned, a lot of politicians pretend to care or they sell the ideas for the votes, but then vote in favor or against something when they shouldn't have. They just play pretend and play to see who's got the biggest dick for no reason, while in the meantime real people suffer real consequences. With all of that said, I wish you the best of luck on the run. I also have a slight amusement at the idea someone might want to do any harm to you, like shooting your car or whatever and it's just... have they not seen your wall? They're going to have a bad time. But knock on wood, hope it doesn't happen and you do a great job, if you win. I will be following the journey on B-side. So you better not fuck it up otherwise eventually we'd have to... vote for GarandThumb. Charlie as VP? Fuck.
