With no disrespect, if you want FOSS people to use FOSS, make a Discord alternative/competitor. It doesn't need to be that fancy either. I wouldn't mind, if people start using it, using it myself. I could do without the nitro this, nft that bullshit and the dumbass shitty banners they put on top when a new trendy movement for social justice comes along. To this day people still use TS3 sometimes. I remember using Skype years ago because everyone had skype or it was easy to setup and we just needed to be in a call while playing the games. Discord took over because besides being free to use, it looked modern, had rich features and basically was much better than the competition.
