  1. I personally really don't like the sneaky way ElementaryOS (since many years ago) have been doing the donation thing. If you are not told you can input 0, many people would either not use the OS or pay 10 dollars without knowing. My problem is not that you have to pay, is the way they've done it. If you want the money, just charge 10 dollars upfront and whoever wants to use your distro can do so by paying 10 dollars for the work. If not, ask for donations. But don't mix and mask the two.
