@BrodieRobertson I don't. I agree it would be AWESOME. But if you go to supermarket A, and buy a can of sliced pineapple, and then you go to another supermarket B and try to get the same can, they are not going to let you leave without paying, lol. This is the exact same thing. One thing is OWNING THE PRODUCT, which if you buy directly from the devs, then it would make sense you could run it as many times and anywhere you want that is supported. But Steam, Xbox (Msft store), PlayStation... are publishers. Are that, stores. So you have to buy it again, because you're buying in that store. Your example in the video was perfectly clear and it made sense. Linus is being stupid, which is bad considering he's pretty smart on a lot of things and has a lot of data about business that we don't.

I don't know what kind of acorn head thought that telling people you can do stuff without restarting is a good idea. Rebooting/restarting/resetting is literally the first and easiest step to troubleshoot in ANYTHING. Ever. Regardless of the platform. And I don't know why it's a thing at all. Windows doesn't make you restart as much either. You install some updates, and maybe 1 needs a restart, that's it. It's not like you have to restart the computer 5 times in a row. And on Linux, something updates? I restart. Maybe I don't have to, but HOW WOULD I KNOW. I'm not a programmer, I'm not a Linux mastermind or vet either. And for some reason, I have the slight feeling that "this program/piece of software might need to start things on system start" rather than "it's already running and it's fine". Does that make sense? Like I think a restart would load everything up again and as it should to work properly. And Dolphin is perfectly fine to me, better than Windows File Explorer. So clearly I'm not a heavy poweruser of explorers. I'd love to know what's wrong with it.
