For what it's worth, the Chieftain was a strong supporter of a 7.62 coax round. The assumption is, whatever is too much for that to handle....gets a 120mm. And I get it. It covers a lot of issues, but you're going to want to put down some rounds on target. Once you start drifting to 30mm coax... you're going to have to justify your upswing of ammo choice. ESPECIALLY on a training level.

Look at the current price tag for the plane. Now find any other plane with equivalent performance for cheaper. How is that expensive? It's friggin cheap for what it is.

+Michael Heathcock The most significant differences between the M16 and the SA80 teething issues are as follows. The vast majority of M16 issues were predominantly ammo related. By changing the powder, the rifle Rof significantly increased. The second major problem was the decision to stop chrome lining the bores and not issue cleaning kits. The SA80 issues were inherent design flaws; such as not making the gun drop safe.

One of the downsides of some of the modern bullpups is a lack of effective rail space. Look at an X95 "kitted" out. You better love vertical foregrips, because there's not much space for your hands. It makes sense in an Israeli conflict zone. Units tend to be close to urban areas and effectively mechanized full time. You can restructure your rifles for different missions at hand easier in that environment. Put that same rifle into a situation like the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, and you're going to want more on that rifle.

The modern tank destroyer is drones equipped with proper missiles. Cheaper, better battlefield coverage, and added benefits of recon. Also, not all tank destroyers were slow and followed the guidelines you provided. Honestly, the Hellcat style tank destroyers could have potential in the future.

@jamesricker3997 M2 testing was in 1918 and production was 1921.

American here - we typically refer to it as HESH not Plastique. Plastique is used as a reference for a whole large number of plasticine explosives in general. C4 would be referred to as plastique as well.

@matejmacek5784 A jeep with a bazooka or recoilless rifle, is the cheapest version of a support/recon vehicle with extra punch. Outside of that, I'd say there were a number of halftrack vehicles that could roughly assume a similar role of recon with extra punch.

Bullpups aren't better, they're just different. They have their own sacrifices.

The issue with the X95 is the absolute lack of decent rail space. Where are you supposed to fit your white light, PEQ-2 unit, 'nade launcher, grip, remote button controls, etc? It's a beautifully small package for urban combat/mounted troops. But, it doesn't appear to have some of the elements that might be desired for extended combat. That said, not everyone has that sort of stuff. Lots of pretty bland AKM-74's being used in Ukraine by both sides.
