@anotherianp Typically grousers basically went in place of track pins or were held in place with track pins. So the grand answer is, not that hard to mount them if you're used to maintaining a tank.

@TheArmourersBench He was still making upward progress when he just stopped. That said, bogie based suspension doesn't handled straight vertical obstacles very effectively. But it takes up less space in the crew compartment and is easier to repair in the field. So, six of one, half a dozen of another.
