@dalstein3708 Just like Manhattan was supposed to be underwater by 2015 according to "the leading scientists" in the 1980s? lol.
1
I don't think we're quite at Middle Eastern level yet lol Donkeys are still far off.
1
Still they want easy to access EU visas and entry into EU markets. They want the benefits of the EU without becoming members :p.
1
@Jay...777 Why does a country with a military spending that's top 5 IN THE WORLD need to make a feint that cost billions in equipment losses and thousands of soldiers dead? The Russian tanks ran out of fuel and they were abandoned and taken over by Ukrainian farmers with tractors transporting them to Ukrainian storage, is that really a feint. A military super power 300+ IQ move? US troops took Kabul losing only 34 men and the Russian military should not be so far behind and the Ukrainian military is a lot smaller than the Iraqi army ever was. They should not have to feint for Kyiv they should be able to take Kyiv with minimal losses within 2 weeks. It's like Barcelona playing against a div 3 Algerian team and you cheer for Barcelona and it's an even match with the score at 2-2 and you try to pretend Barcelona is very successful when everybody knows full well that anything other than Barcelona winning with 20-0 is a massive failure for them considering one Barcelona player is worth 10 times more than the whole Algerian div 3 squad.
1
@kremepye3613 Still too expensive for working class people, even more crazy when you realize it's government subsidized and still it's too expensive for the average citizen.
1
Zaydan Naufal LOL are you trying to prove that the EU has some sort of Islamophobia based on the color of their flag???! Okay dude. Considering how many Muslim refugees the EU has taken in from all over the Middle East it doesn't seem like they have any problems with Muslims. but yeah They have a blue flag so they must be secret Muslim haters.
1
yes he said that in his video.
1
@Djawadi90 "they support ypg which is the exact same thing connected to other". According to Turkey yes. Just because Erdogan says everyone that oppose him politically are terrorists doesn't necessarily mean everyone will agree with him.
1
@cengizsogutlu Yeah I wonder why the US and EU have arms embargos on Turkey... Could it be Erdogan has been a naughty boy? Nah surely they are doing it just for fun.
1
Probably true but who's to say they haven't already sided with the Chinese bloc? they have no problem selling/buying military tech from Russia
1
I think it's okay I am Swedish and our politicians have indicated that if we join we want some special rules like Norway that limit foreign troops placed on our soil and forbids NATO to put Nukes in our country as part of it's nuclear umbrella. Also if war ensues between NATO and Russia and it goes nuclear Russia has 6000 nukes, it doesn't matter if you are a NATO member or not that amount is enough to blow the whole world up lol.
1
@jasonpark4293 They are part of the Ukrainian army that's where they get all the equipment and ammunition that is normal. What, you think that as soon as you retire you get to keep all the equipment you used in the military??! Oh you are going to retire from being a tank driver? Oh well I guess since you were driving this tank it's yours now... That's not how the army works man 🤣🤣🤣. Army equipment is not personal property not the same thing. Otherwise we'd have a whole population of retired veterans with private jet fighters and tanks all over the world. If you drive a tank in the army and you retired you will be replaced by another soldier who is going to drive that tank. Do I really have to explain this???
1
Nothing has changed, Turkey got F16s that's what this was all about.
1
@upcom1ng116 You will be happy to know then that the money they lost is going straight into the banks pockets instead with higher interest rates on house loans. Because banks are not greedy at all, right?
1
UAE Emirates Turks have a really hard time to understand that there are no laws against having a PKK flag. Yes the group is designated a terrorist organization but that doesn't mean regular people aren't allowed to wave their flags. There are no laws against waving an ISIS flag either but if you're part of the group you'll get thrown into jail or extradited. It's a different system and maybe it's hard for people from the Middle East to understand the concept of freedom of speech and expression but there is a huge difference between waving a flag and being a member of a terrorist organization to them. I know a lot of Turks also could not understand why it's not a crime to burn a Quo'ran in Sweden. Different system, different laws. Freedom of expression and speech is a factor.
1
Relax man Turkey is not Erdogan. He has been in power for 20 years and he controls the Turkish parliament and the Turkish courts. Once he is gone which might happen sooner rather than later due to the elections Turkey could potentially get a new leader that's more interested to lean west.
1
If it's a nuclear war it really doesn't matter if you are part of NATO or not. Russia and NATO has more than enough Nukes to end all life on earth if it comes to that point we're all fcked no matter if we are part of NATO or not.
1
That's irrelevant there is nothing stated anywhere that you cannot join if you are a Muslim nation.
1
Considering the Finish president went to meet with the Swedish PM now they are almost certainly discussing NATO. Possibly they are planning to join at the same time to mitigate the chance of Russian retaliation.
1
@ukj5850 You are always free to not use cars that's fine. Just as I am free to drive my car to work. That's freedom, you just want to limit my options to fit your ideals and values. I am not worried about this resolution, it needs to be signed off by each and every member state which as he said in the video is not happening. Too much opposition. Stop worrying about others are doing, if you really think it's a big deal then don't use cars, I am not forcing you.
1
With current pricing? They won't, EV cars is a luxury market aimed at the rich, very few people have the means to afford 60k Euros on a car.
1
There is a big difference between Nazis and Racists though.
1
Because when it's -25 outside and you don't have heating you freeze to death. Are you willing to freeze to death while your leaders use jets to go everywhere and spew bullshit about green policies? No thank you.
1
you fail logic.
1
@greed864 Per capita who knows really, I am pretty sure you can find bigger far right extremists in US than KKK if you put some thought into it. I am not American and it took me about 2 minutes to think of one, AB Aryan Brotherhood. Now these guys are true Nazis and they are estimated to have 15,000–20,000 members at least according to the Anti-defamation league. Like I said I am not American though I am sure you can find plenty of other organizations that share ABs ideology.
1
@Tjalve70 Turkey knows but they don't care this was never about Extradition Erdogan got Biden's support to buy F16s just hours after signing the deal. This was never about Sweden or Finland just American and Turkish Bazaar.
1
It's not only about imports it's about business, sanctions means less foreign capital and investments coming in and less Russian companies expanding their operations outside of Russia. It keeps Russian companies small and limits the investment they have access to. It stifles economic growth hence why the GDP is predicted to fall so much, for the elite this doesn't matter much as they already propped themselves up but for the middle and lower classes they can expect a lower standard of living as a result.
1
Of course Turkey is in need of military protection, why would they still be in NATO or even join NATO in the first place if they weren't? By European standards Spain's economy is weak BUT Spain's economy and GDP/Capita is pretty much similar to Russia and Turkey's GDP/Capita is even LOWER than Russia. So yes militarily Turkey is huge but in no shape or form are they ready for a war. They are very weak in terms of economics right now they wouldn't be able to stand against Russia by themselves at this point in time.
1
Okay, Sergey I am sorry your home country is not very popular in Europe. Perhaps you should encourage your leader to stop invading your neighbors?
1
Yeah there are about 100 Nazis in the Ukrainian army fighting Russians. Big deal.
1
They are already isolated. Most NATO members have an arms embargo on them. Erdogan has played both sides for many years. It doesn't matter - as long as they respect article 5 that's what matters. There is nothing in the NATO membership rules that say we have to be nice to all other NATO members. Furthermore things can change quick if there is a change of political leadership the country can make a complete 180. Just look what happened to China everytime they have a change of leader. It doesn't happen often but when it does it becomes a new country in terms of policy and foreign relations.
1
Well the topic here was are they Nazis or not I am not sure Nazis would look up to Israel. Are they right wing? Sure but you will find plenty of right wing leaning groups in all countries.
1
@kevinb5621 Yes of course, it's never cold inside in Scandinavia. Even if it's -30 people will walk around their house with t-shirts.
1
@advancedomega Yeah let's remove the fence at the Zoo for the lions and tigers, having a fence or caged area makes people feel safe and stick their hand into the cage thus having an accident. When letting the lions and tigers run free we can guarantee that less accidents happen. Logic.
1
@uqs57bju Considering the price of the EVS compared to the traditional alternative it is not a ban out right but working class people won't afford a 60k euro tesla and that is AFTER government subsidizing it. Too expensive to be a realistic option.
1
You mean for the public right? Vehicles are essential and we would not be able to live in cities without vehicles to transport food and goods to and from a city. Take away all cars and the people of the city would starve and all buisnesses would die.
1
@akon360 Europe's political system is not reliant on leaders to stay in power. Leaders come and go all the time and business stays the same. The system is built upon changing leaders to combat corruption which is why you see such high corruption in countries where the leadership and elite stay in power for a long time.
1
@newfaith912 So it's the EU's fault that there is corruption in the Balkan countries lol? The problem is they have weak democratic institution and there's still tension between the different Balkan nations. The last thing we want is a war between EU countries.
1
Can't speak for all countries but at least for mine (Sweden) Problem is not wage it is taxation when you pay half your income in tax you won't consume as much. Where I live now I earn the same as I would in Sweden but I pay 10% tax instead of 50% and I can tell you I consume a lot more, I wonder why...
1
Didn't the guy say they only received 2% of the vote and has no seats in parliament? And they are only expected to be 10-20% out of a 1000 man regiment that would make them 100-200 men strong in an army of 250k soldiers. Doesn't sound like a large influence to me neither in Politics nor military.
1
What is "modern media"? All media sources in the world EXCEPT Russian state-owned TV?
1
@paul1979uk2000 Yes Europeans will complain and pay the higher price we're fine we will just b1tch a bit, the third world people will die from higher prices.
1
@Noschool100 yep totally agree. Finland is in missile range of major Russian cities, it's a real nightmare for Putin should Finland join with that long border.
1
Then why are the EU taking in massive amounts of Muslim refugees and allows them to join European countries government bodies? Plenty of governments have Muslim mayors, ministers and all in all kinds of government positions these days. How many Christians or Jews does Muslim nations have in their parliaments?
1
No, Erdogan is acting for an Oscar so he can milk the US to give him his F-16s in a deal to let Sweden in.
1
I think everybody is an exaggeration, more like the liberal body of the EU has a problem with them. Conservatives and most citizens in the EU has little to no interest to dictate political reforms on a country that is not their own.
1
And what other means of energy would that be? Wind and Solar? Sorry but with today's technology there are no viable energy options. Wind and solar doesn't come close to fossil fuel and nuclear power.
1
Don't worry it will be done quick. It's an election year there is no way the Social Democrats are going to be the ones being responsible for Sweden not joining NATO when the majority of Swedes are for NATO membership. They see the election coming up it's a no brainer to get this done quick otherwise they risk losing a lot of their support for the upcoming election.
1
So basically they exchanged one dictator for another.
1
Yep that is the truth. Compared to other western Nations Ukraine's far right movement is pretty small. In my country (Sweden) the Far right party received 17.5% of the votes, in Ukraine they got 2%.
