  1. Then why are the working class in Capitalist countries better off than the working class in communist countries? The concentration of Wealth and power is a lot more noticeable in countries such as China, N. Korea and Venezuela than they are in Western Europe. I am an expat in a communist country, people cleaning toilets in my European home country have higher salary than what people consider Middle class here.

  2. Can't speak for all countries but at least for mine (Sweden) Problem is not wage it is taxation when you pay half your income in tax you won't consume as much. Where I live now I earn the same as I would in Sweden but I pay 10% tax instead of 50% and I can tell you I consume a lot more, I wonder why...
