  2. No rush, Turkey will not be joining anytime soon anyway I am sure if it took Armenia 50 years they would still join before Turkey.

  5. The way things are looking it's more likely another major EU nation will leave the EU before any of the candidates would accepted.

  6. You are trying too hard my man, it's all political. If there is a political will then that argument will be used, yes. If there is no political will then it will be "not a European nation". It doesn't come down to geography it comes down to politics.

  7. There are plenty of ways to isolate Russia without inviting poor countries that the rich EU countries will have to put on life support for the foreseeable future.

  8. Maybe from a military or political standpoint. From an economic standpoint not really, they don't add much and will be a net negative.

Nah, EU already has enough countries to keep on life support nothing bad against them but we have been pumping cash into failed states like Greece that just ends up teaming up with the Chinese to block EU legislation the CCP does not like in exchange for loans. Not a big fan of adding more of those countries.

  10. True but on 12 March 2024, the European Parliament passed a resolution confirming Armenia meets Maastricht Treaty Article 49 requirements and that the country may apply for EU membership. Georgia has also been granted as a valid candidate. It's all political more than anything geography doesn't mean much. It should but it doesn't.
