True, not sure about Montenegro but Serbia has too many issues with Kosovo at the moment. The last thing the EU wants is a war within it's borders.

@cobbler9113 Yeah I totally understand I am all for the economic benefits and it's great negotiating with China or the US as a big block when it comes to trade. Brussels trying to apply one-size fits all rules to all countries is just plain stupid though. If Brussels allowed Britain keep the economic benefits while leaving the EU then 95% of the countries would leave in a heartbeat. Nobody likes Brussels trying to decide everything but nobody wants to leave because of the economic benefits.

@Έκπληξηρυσός The US has no say in who can or cannot join the EU, truth be told there are many EU countries that do not want to see Russia in the EU - like everyone lol.

@jonizymberi6787 Sorry I am not from that part of the world but I think when Greece was fighting for their independence against the Ottoman Empire the Ottoman troops sent a lot of Albanian Ottoman soldiers against the Greeks, also wasn't the Albanians involved in the Greek civil war of 1946 when they supported the Greek communist army? I am not saying Greece was right to expel Albanians from Epirus but I know there's a lot of tension between these countries for a long time they have been on opposite sides and Albania has been meddling in Greek affairs many times in history (I am sure the Greeks have interfered in Albanian affairs too :b)

@newfaith912 So it's the EU's fault that there is corruption in the Balkan countries lol? The problem is they have weak democratic institution and there's still tension between the different Balkan nations. The last thing we want is a war between EU countries.
