  1. I don’t really get where all negativity is coming from in the comments to be honest. hydro energy is great, very reliable and clean. My native country relies on hydro energy for 45% of our electricity. Yeah Egypt and Sudan are pissed off but dams are built all over the world, did Mexico throw a hissy fit when dams were made in Colorado? Of course not. Egypt has dams of their own but Ethiopia is not allowed to? It’s a great opportunity for them to provide their country with electricity. Once water has been stored water flow will just be like before. I get that Egypt is worried but that’s their water on their territory. Egypt does not own the whole nile because parts of it runs through their country.
