@soldierjohn6171 Did you forget the slight detail that the reason the UK and France went to war in the first place was for you? Britain and France declared war after Germany attacked Poland. Did you forget the Polish government went into exile in England and their army and Polish resistance were trained and equipped by the UK government? After the war The 1947 Polish Resettlement Act was enacted to make sure Polish refugees could settle in the UK with employment entitlement and unemployment benefits and pensions - the whole package. One year later they could, if they wanted to, get British citizenship. How many French and UK servicemen lost their life after the UK and France declared war on Germany after they invaded Poland? That's what they did for Poland, they went to war for you. I am so sorry the history education in your country is severely lacking. You are obviously not very familiar with the reason why France and UK were fighting the Germans in the first place, not your fault.

@wyguy1212 Maybe they can ask Hamas nicely if they can charge their phones in one of their thousands of tunnels with generators running ACs, data centres etc.
27
Why would nobody help? The reason WW2 started was because the UK and France went to war because they had guaranteed Polish independence from Germany. WW2 Started because France and UK stepped up for Poland.

@username9615 Everyone in the region does though, even fellow Muslim countries in the region don't want Palestinians on their turf. Try going around town and be an a**hole to people see how they treat you after harassing them for a few days.

@kaoset1237 Oh, our neighbor (Norway) has a Sh*t ton of oil - they seem to be doing fine somehow, stable democracy, happy population etc. In the end I am thankful that Norway didn't get the memo that they are supposed to attack their neighbors because of oil.

What do you mean don't rely on the west, Poland is a part of the EU and NATO and it's very unlikely they will leave any time soon. It's very beneficial for Poland to keep close ties with the west.

@KongoKaiNi If you have to pick one it's far better to trust a nation state over a terrorist organization any day of the week.

@miles9911 Egypt provided a lot of weapons when the Muslim brotherhood were in charge. Syrians willingly let Iranian convoys drive through their territory - as does Iraq.

Usually yes, but in Gaza being a truck driver is dangerous, especially if you are not a Palestinian. I cannot blame the truck drivers for fearing for their lives, who would want to end up as a Hamas captive?
3
Perhaps they should stop sending aid all together since it does not meet expected standards then. I am sure there are much more deserving recipients of humanitarian aid out there.
3
Nope, the only resolutions passed regarding Israel's alleged "occupation" have only been non-binding resolutions. Non-binding resolutions does not enact laws they simply state the opinion of the body voting for them. All binding UN resolutions declaring Israel guilty of illegally occupying territory has been vetoed by the US and this is not looking like it will change any time soon. So no there are no such laws, the US has always vetoed such laws, don't spread misinformation.

Well you answered your own question with acknowledging Hamas is a non state actor, by definition nation state actors are not terror groups. Only non-state actors gets labeled terror orgs. If you run around chopping off heads and killing people in the name of religion and you are a non-state actor then you are going to get slapped with a terror org label. That is just definition working as intended. Your issue seems to be with the English language rather than this channel.

It's an easy choice really, which is the ONLY nation in the Middle East that still has a sizeable minority group? Well it's Israel. Is it perfect? Nah but considering all the rest of the Middle East have a population of 99% Muslims it kind of tells you all you need to know about who is the lesser of evils. At least religious minorities are allowed in Israel.

5% is a lot of money that could be spent on other things that would benefit the public though.
2
Well if they don't want it perhaps we could cancel the whole thing. I am sure that money and food can be spent better elsewhere.
2
Why would they need to form an alliance they are already in an alliance, NATO. With NATO comes western weaponry, sure they could leave and make their own alliance but it's much better to defend your territory with state of the art weaponry and tactics over old 40 year old Soviet doctrine and weaponry.
2
How do you know there are no enemy combatants present? Hamas fight in civilian clothing it's impossible to tell a civilian from a Hamas combatant apart.
2
It would not have happened if Israel did not give away Gaza to the Palestinians to administer as they saw fit. It's unfortunate but I am sure Israel learned from their mistake.

@Planet_Xplorer When your national pride is built on the premise that you were given land in a peace settlement because the other side considered it a useless desert then you really don't have much going for you LOL.

@ihatecabbage7270 So basically the Jews did the same as the Muslims have been doing for centuries. Ever wondered why all countries in the Middle East are 99.5%+ Muslim? Yeah they drove off all religious minorities until there were only Muslims left. Now the shoe is on the other foot, am I supposed to feel bad? My European country is full of Christians that had to flee the Middle East due to persecution.
1
@billsanders5067 oh the Jewish vote huh you mean from the minority that constituted 2% of the population at that time? How many of those 2% were above 18 and allowed to vote?

@Phoenix-cp3pn If you believe in god you'd agree that he is above petty human emotions and conflicts. When the day of judgement comes GOD will decide who the "wrongdoers" are. Truth is there are bad apples in all peoples and races if you believe god will judge in favour of one side of a human conflict you will be disappointed.
1
@emu071981 The fact that you are even considering Hamas, a terror org, more trustworthy than a nation state speaks miles about you as a person.
1
@youknow6968 Unfortunately for the Arabs the modern political reality is that the state of their military is abysmal. The only other way for them is to gather support from the west and solve things diplomatically which looks very unlikely seeing as the Palestinians are using terrorist tactics such as suicide bombers to fight the Israelis.
1
Yeah well they are one of the Veto countries and they fund 25% of the UN so it is what it is. UN is not really good for much anyway, did they stop the war in Ukraine? Sudan? Israel? Nah.
