  1.  @steppedtuba50  At the end of the day the only thing Stalin cared about was staying in power, if that meant letting millions of his people die so be it. Mao said something similar “We shouldn’t be afraid of atomic missiles. We may lose more than 300 million people. So what? War is war.” That's communism in a nutshell as long as the leaders get to stay in power they really don't care how many they need to sacrifice.
