Good for you, the problem with pitt bulls is that most dogs when they snap will leave a scratch and in worse case draw a little blood but when a pitt snaps then there's a big chance someone is going to the hospital. Very unforgiving breed for inexperienced dog owners that cannot train their dogs. Having had a neighbour with a pitt that sent an elderly woman into hospital I would never ever let a pitt bull near my family after having seen what damage they can do. I do realize it's the owners fault but I have learned it's better to apply caution when encountering a pitt bull as there is no way to tell at first glance if it's a well trained dog or not and the consequences are bad if it's not. It's a high risk dog and if I don't know you are a responsible owner the first time I see you and your dog I will make sure it keeps its distance. Nothing personal.
