  6.  @ColonelFluffles  The Germans managed to do so peacefully for 50 years of occupation after they lost WW2 without resorting to terrorism. Their reward was they got most of their territories back. As did the Japanese when America occupied them for decades.

  8. That’s just an excuse. Nothing stops the countries from redrawing borders. Even then the different branches of islam such as shia and sunni would still want to kill eachother. It’s not a border problem it’s a culture of warfare over religion and clans.

  10. Well regardless of how China’s potential threat to Russia measures up against other nations it’s still something Moscow will always have to keep in mind. Things can change and escalate in a heartbeat especially in nations with power focused on one person. Imagine if Putin would be replaced with a western friendly leader. Friends would become enemies overnight. The transfer of power is always shaky in authoritarian regimes and can do a complete 180 of government policies.

  12. Jordan doesn't like the Palestinians they fought a bloody war when Palestinian refugees tried to overthrow and take over their government. Palestinians assassinated the Jordanian PM and almost managed to assassinate their king.

  13. Yep it is not out of the ordinary. America went after Al-Qaeda after 9.11 and nobody tried to ask them to agree to a ceasefire with Al-Qaeda. Yet for some reason Israel needs to peace out with Hamas and is not allowed to go to war.
