  7. Well regardless of how China’s potential threat to Russia measures up against other nations it’s still something Moscow will always have to keep in mind. Things can change and escalate in a heartbeat especially in nations with power focused on one person. Imagine if Putin would be replaced with a western friendly leader. Friends would become enemies overnight. The transfer of power is always shaky in authoritarian regimes and can do a complete 180 of government policies.
