Of course, and the US and EU have the right to put secondary sanctions in place on which ever nation decides to trade with Russia.

Michael Zhang Just move the factories to Vietnam like Adidas and Nike, pretty much the same profit margins and less money in the shit CCP pocket.
8
Michael Zhang China cannot even deal with the small island of Taiwan and a single city Hong Kong lol. China is a classic bully a lot of bark but no bite, they talk a lot but they can't back it up with actions.
8
@90s_kids_lifestyle Really? Then why did 29 other nations officially sign an agreement to come help America if it's attacked? How many nations signed a paper with China that they will come and help them if they are attacked?
7
@MrJakeMallard I think he is on about the NATO clause about democracy and human rights
7
@SCARPENTER290 Not really all NATO countries have an interest in seeing their alliance grow stronger. It's not in their interest to refuse such a good opportunity. Finland and Sweden has been Co-operating with NATO for a very long time they are pretty much members in all but name already.
6
@alvinwong185 What do you mean take on China this co-operation is to deal with things like cybersecurity, terrorism, aggressive foreign investment and make sure international law is followed in international waters. This has nothing to do with a military attack on China, just making sure Chinese hackers are not hacking goverment websites stealing technology and so on. It's not a military alliance. Did you watch the video or is your English level too low to understand it's content? Australia has nothing to fear from the Chinese military, they cannot even successfully invade the small island of Taiwan, how would they even be able to invade a huuuuge island like Australia?
6
@dhirajbasumatary1998 They are only friendly because they have common rivals it's only as a military insurance. Russia has called for an independent investigation into China's handling of the virus also they just accused China of technology theft. They are not friends they are just sticking together to counter the US. If Russia one day will no longer consider the US a threat the Russian - Chinese relationship will fall apart in a heartbeat.
5
Why is it NATO's fault that the Ukrainians showed interest in joining? Nobody forced Ukraine to be interested in joining NATO. Every nation may apply for NATO membership if they want, that doesn't mean NATO will accept them.
4
All that is fine just don't come back crying when India faces the consequences from the west for doing business with Russia. After all the western countries will look at it's own self-interests first.
4
Let him the Russian economy is 1% of the world the west is 40% even if he succeed somehow crashing the west the whole world will follow and we will all be in the same boat.
3
@evilmex1962 Yep out of the 10 the top countries on the freedom index and Human right's watch's top 10 ranking 8 are European nations. Shocking I know, right? I was totally expecting to see China and the Taliban up there caring the most about human rights.
3
@notastone4832 So? Turkey clearly does not meet the democracy and respect of human rights that is demanded of NATO members either but they are still there. Canada doesn't have to send troops to Europe. It's a defensive alliance and it works great as a deterrent. How many times has NATO been attacked since it was founded? I guess if you count 9/11 that's one time.
3
It's the other way around, Turkey wants to be able to buy weapons from Sweden and Finland. (Mainly Swedish military tech).
3
@alvinwong185 Chinese premier li keqiang just announced 600 million Chinese have an income of less than 140 dollars a month - it's not like poverty doesn't exist in China. China = rich country, poor people. They should just join hands with Taiwan, small island that has been beating the Chinese military everytime they try come close for more than 50 years.
3
You are uninformed the UN security council voted on intervening in Libya and Serbia. Nobody voted no. Even your dear Russia voted yes.
3
Did you even watch the video? Turkey will accept Sweden and Finland they just want them to lift their arms embargo. All you had to do was watch the video and you would have known that lol.
2
Obviously China does otherwise they would not make a big deal out of it
2
What do you mean the UK and the US? Sweden and Finland's governments decided this by themselves that they want to join. France and Germany is not blocking of course not why would they do that? France and Germany are very close to Sweden and Finland they are all EU countries. They have nothing to gain from refusing.
2
Kneeling down Europe? I am from a Northern European country, our import of Russian energy was 1% before the war. You're mostly talking about countries like Germany and Italy for most European countries we already kept Russian energy reliance to a minimum. Germany and Italy are paying the price for their mistakes, for the rest of us life goes on. Before you start talking about increased gas prices - 2% of the energy in my country is gas so yeah. TLDR not all EU countries are the same.
2
Roopak Singh NATO members has no influence over every single foreign policy adapted by other member states. If the US wants to go to Somalia let them do so, has nothing to do with the rest of us. NATO is a DEFENSIVE alliance, do you know what DEFENSIVE means?
2
NATO did not do anything Sweden and Finland applied for membership now it's up for each NATO member to make their own decision about if they should accept or decline that's all.
2
@Daisy999 Japan has already said it will help Taiwan maybe that will be enough, if not USA will probably intervene they have a strategic interest in the region keeping Japan strong.
2
They are not shocked, they have stored a F ton of gas since this war started. Germany went from 55% of their gas coming from Russia to 9.5% at present day. Germany's gas reserves are 90% filled, they have been preparing for this scenario for months now. It will still hurt them but they have been aware this would happen sooner or later.
2
@alanssshh I am pretty sure the Taiwanese populace don't care too much they can go vote and have total freedom of control over their own destiny regardless. Their life will be the same no matter if 200 countries recognize them or just 1.
2
@Th3D3mons That's okay if Turkey doesn't want to be a part of NATO and is the only country causing frictions between NATO members then perhaps it's time they found an alliance that suits them better.
2
@truthseeker9817 NATO is a defensive alliance, you think that means NATO has to get involved in civil wars? And political intrigues of all it's member states? NATO is not there to protect Erdogan from his political rivals they are there to protect Turkey if any nation attacks them.
2
@dotmarceo UN Resolution 781, Resolution 787, Resolution 816 and Resolution 820. The UN asked NATO to assist the UN Protection Force to implement these resolutions in Bosnia/Yugoslavia. If you are going to blame someone you should blame the UN countries that voted to implement these resolution. Spoiler alert nobody voted against it, yes even Russia voted yes.
2
@crakermac3818 NATO has had military co-operation and joint exercises with Finland and Sweden for a long time and they are NATO partners already. They are not hiding behind anyone, leading NATO members has wanted them to join for a very long time. Turkey won't say no they are just negotiating, they are already in a tough spot in the NATO alliance after doing weapons deals with Russia in 2019 so they won't dare to be the only country to say NO.
2
@hpw-ws6bj Really? is that why the Chinese have a special phrase for poorly constructed buildings and roads coined by it's own CCP premier? 豆腐渣工程 - Tofu-dreg project. Sounds like the CCP leadership did not have very high thoughts about Chinese infrastructure and buildings.
2
It's okay it's just a political move, he wants some concessions from America. PPK is considered a terrorist organization in Sweden so his claim that the Swedish government co-operate with this organization is just BS. Like I said he is just bargaining for favours.
2
what you mean good move? They will accept they just made some demands that's all. They want Sweden and Finland to lift their arms embargo on Turkey then they will accept.
2
@zeanu2015 Yeah, totally true - USA created Genghis Khan and the Mongol hordes. They also created the Shia vs Sunni conflict.
2
90% WTF are you on about. My country imported 1% of our total energy needs from Russia before the war..... 90%.... Geez now that's an over exaggeration. Germany used to import 40% now they are down to 9.5%.
2
Erdogan has already made demands, he wants Sweden and Finland to lift their arms embargo. Looks like all he cares about is to buy weapons. So much for Kurds.
1
@sabin97 You say that but you have no problem begging for more foreign aid money from the west.
1
Turkey has stated their demands to Finland and Sweden already. They will accept they just want some concessions.
1
Hmmmm who is best able to decide what's best for Sweden and Finland... Swedish and Finish people or some random dude with an Arab name.. Yeah I'd say Swedish and Finish people knows what's best for them.
1
Dictators don't care about neutrality, you think Saddam cared about Kuwait being neutral when he invaded? Did Hitler care about Norway and Denmark's neutrality? You get the point.
1
@chanbengfoo342 People of democratic nations do tend to be more friendly towards other democratic nations and less so towards dictatorships. That's just the way things go, I am sure communist dictatorships like China also prefers other communist dictatorships like North Korea and Venezuela.
1
You do know that PKK is a designated terrorist organization in both those countries right...?
1
@kesscarlton8759 Improve relations with the country that wishes them harm? You do realize the sole reason Sweden and Finland wants to join NATO is because they feel threatened by Russia, right? No thanks. I am not too bothered about if we improve relations with the east, west, south north I could not care less as long as they are democracies. There is little point to get closer to dictatorships. I'm not too found of the US but I would take an alliance with them any day over being occupied by Russia.
1
@realtalk6195 You make it sound like Turkey made everyone a huge favour by joining NATO and forgetting about the fact that Turkey came to NATO seeking protection from the USSR in the first place.
1
The Swedish and Finnish governments have already been made aware of the terms. Erdogan wants both countries to lift their arms embargo on Turkey. Whatever the story about the 2016 was it seems it wasn't so important after all. Erdogan just wants to be able to buy Swedish and Finnish military technology like everyone else.
1
You say that then just wait until they strike a deal and say yes lol.
1
@roach2179 No it's about Finland too. Both Sweden and Finland has sanctions imposed on Turkey due to human rights abuses. Turkey has already demanded Sweden and Finland needs to remove this before they accept their NATO membership application
1
@yangleezhao908 China is at 189, perhaps they misunderstood and thought higher was better? Wouldn't be the first time they have incompetent leaders, mistakes like that could happen.
1
@gulchekhrakhalilova7072 Because the US is the top dog at this point. The strong conquers the weak and sets the agenda. It's a bit harsh but that's how the world works. In the future if the west declines another power may rise and do the same - perhaps a united Asia will set the rules in the future. As for now though it's the west so of course the US can do what they want. If you come for the king you better not miss.
1
@erenyearger77 NATO is a totally different thing, the countries themselves decide if they want to apply for NATO membership or not. Nobody is forcing nations to join NATO they just simply do because they are threatened by Russia - a peaceful Russia would mean no NATO.
1
No need to worry about the EU citizens they will complain about higher prices but they can afford it. You should worry more about Africa and Middle East people there will starve when the food and energy prices goes up. The energy and food price hike is not exclusive to the EU. Just look what's happening in Pakistan and Sri Lanka when the fuel prices went up. Yeah sure the EU citizens will complain but that's it they move on. The third world however they collapse.
