  2. Is it a ban though? Last time I read about it it was about divestment, Bytedance will just sell their share and a non-Chinese company will take over. So basically APP is the same just not controlled by the Chinese gov. It is only a ban if Bytedance refuses to sell which they obv. would not do. Too much money in it.

  3. If you think Tiktok will be banned you have been fooled by the media narrative. It is a divestment call, which means bytedance will have to sell Tiktok or it gets banned. OBV if this goes through Bytedance will sell, Tiktok will remain pretty much the same just under a company that is not Chinese.

  9. It is a divestment the ban only comes into effect if Bytedance refuses to sell the APP. I am sure they will cash out and TIKTOK will still be there with a non Chinese gov. influenced algorithm.
