  4. Yes you bring up interesting points, democracy needs an economic base and infrastructure that most African countries do not have. It doesn't help when a large portion of the population is illiterate.

  5. Yep they killed and drove all the white landowners off and gave the farmland to their friends that knew nothing about farming. You'd figure farming is not that hard but I guess apperatly it is because like you said, the breadbasket turned into starvation somehow.
