What what what wait... as a Swede myself, this year's election just recently one of the biggest issues - apart from immigration of course - was our education system which has totally gone down the drain since this "amazing" privatizing the schools. The only thing our parties can agree upon is that privatization as it is now should be decreased or abolished. Also about the taxes if you earn around $2,300 a month your income tax rate will be around 30-33% once you start getting up to $22,000 a month that income tax will hit you for more than 50%. I think you can make the argument that Sweden is not a socialist success without praising a failed educational system, all Our neighbours are in the top 20 when it comes to student performance in the world, Finland is ranked 8th in the world (no private schools). At the same time we're the country with the biggest student performance drop the last decade, I don't think you can blame it all on privatization but it certainly didn't make the results any better. TLDR: Praising our shitty educational system and claiming that below average income workers pay more taxes than high income workers just makes you look silly. Just take a look at the tax brackets and our student results and you will realize this. I don't agree with the way my country is going, the immigration crisis is killing us at the moment but they really should consider hiring somebody else for research this is just completely off.
