@gordonliu3972 I think it can be okay for first timers to the ESL scene but for the people that already experienced China I am not really sure why you would go from a communist one party state to another communist one party state unless you enjoy making life hard for yourself :p. For now Vietnam is great but if you didn't like China's government chances are you won't like Vietnam's in the future.

Non-profit teaching centre in China? You and me both know Chinese people don't do non-profit, very few of them exist in China and most of them are foreign non-profits. If there are any non-profit schools in China they will be run by the local government, there are not a lot of businessmen in China willing to do work for free, it's just not in the culture over there.

It's hard to keep a monopoly on what's being taught when foreign language centers use "international curriculum" that hasn't gone through the CCP censorship channels and foreign teachers which might induce the kids into dangerous ideas about.. well anything not Chinese I guess. Basically they have little control of what is being taught outside public schools and by who and that is a problem for their "national thought" campaign.

It depends which province you are in and what contacts the school has with the local government, these things can change fast as contacts go sour or are lost, enjoy it while you can.
