  1. ​ @grsafran  China has the greatest number of coal-fired power stations of any country or territory in the world. As of July 2024, there were 1,161 operational coal power plants on the Chinese Mainland. This was more than four times the number of such power stations in India, which ranked second. I live in Anhui province China, 69.8% of energy here is from coal, so I would not worry - China will need coal for a loooong looong time. Hate it or love it, why lie about it though?
