My goodness! I really think that the response of the hospital and ER physician's group to what happened to him is not quite good enough and that Kyle should probably consider pressing what happened to him a bit farther with them. I don't know what that particular hospital lab's critical value is for Troponin, but he did indicate that the lab report flagged it as a high elevated Troponin which should have triggered a direct call from the lab tech to report that result to the ER nurse according to most lab/medical protocols that I am aware of and a Troponin that high in light of the symptoms he was having should have been further investigated not merely brushed off as psychosomatic. Thank you to you and Kyle for having this much needed conversation and for putting his story out there to help others.
