@eamonnclabby7067 I dare guess that she probably lived in the USA for quite some time.

@kyiv_post Anya, I think it is time to satisfy your audience's keen interest in the genesis of your English. Spill the beans... 😀😀😀

Ukrainian authorities do offer this option to POWs. They must officially declare their rejection of swapping, and as of now, they can stay in a Ukrainian POW camp until the end of the war.

This is how the Russian army works. A soldier is an order giving no consideration whether a soldier is kitted up for the task or if the order is fulfullable from the beginning. If a soldier flouts, he will be severely physically punished. In such cases, the will to live takes over, and they find a way to obtain what's needed to do what's ordered.

There are hundreds of interviews with POWs on "Volodymyr Zolkin" channel. Alas, they are all in Russian. No autotranslation is available. If I recall correctly, there is another channel where some of those interviews are at least partially translated into English. I cannot call the channel's name to mind.

I found the channel having translated to English POW's interviews. Its name is "Zolkin Volodymyr".

Lovely English. The presentation is, as usually, right on the money. Thanks!

@kyiv_post There is a phrase at 3:31 -- "It is all a painting." What does it mean? Feel free to reply in English, Russian, or Ukrainian. Thanks!

There is YT censorship, which, in many cases, is senseless.

Political propaganda is a combination of fakes, lies, and gaslighting. Ukraine does not resort to such a heinous tactic.
