  1. "Let the states decide" was why we had school segregation, separate restrooms and water fountains for "coloreds" and Rosa Parks to the back of the bus. Federal civil rights laws superseded those "state decisions".

  3. Study the civil rights movement of the 1960's. It was all about the "states decide". The southern states decided that blacks were inferior. Don't let the states decide anything important.
