  1. He was a poor student. Maybe ADHD? Or just spoiled and felt he didn't need to listen in class. In Elementary school he had poor grades and disciplinary problems so his parents sent him to a military academy to teach him discipline. There are funny pictures of teenage Trump in his drummer boy type outfit. The school had sports, military drills and marches but perhaps didn't emphasize academic learning, like English and History. The rumor is that Trump paid a "smart kid" to take his SAT for him so that he was able to get into Fordham University, in the Bronx, a good school. He never mentions his two years at Fordham. Through his older brother Fred's connections he got transferred into University of Pennsylvania, an "Ivy", which he always mentions but uses the business college name, Wharton. Most people who say they went to Wharton are talking about the graduate school MBA program. It is documented that Trump did not achieve any honors or distinctions at Penn. One professor who remembers him said he was "one of the dumbest students" he had. So it seems he ignored or coasted through his entire education. A rich, spoiled kid who realized he didn't need to know anything the schools taught because he was guaranteed a job in his father's company. But now it shows that he doesn't know basic things.
