Donald couldn't afford to live there as his residence. The Town of Palm Beach wouldn't let him subdivide the historic property, so he opened a resort. The "members" are merely customers who pay an inital and annual fees, they have not equity, like a real club. The food and drink is sold for profit. Real clubs do not make a profit on their owners. That's where he decides to store top secret government documents where people come in and out all day with no security as long as they say they are a "member" or "guest" of a member.

  5. @Will Boland Not really. Name some that aren't commercial business. Trump is the only so-called 'Billionaire' in Palm Beach who lives in an apartment over a commercial restaurant. I've been there. I know. It's pathetic. It's not even a big apartment. If you were a real Billionaire and you had a Palm Beach home would you rent out you kitchen, dining room, living room and pool to hundreds of strangers who pay $15K/yr? Strangers and their guests, as many as they want, all swimming in your pool. Trump couldn't afford it so he rents out everything to cover the taxes and maintenance. He went bottom up years ago. He's living on debt from you know who and any other funds he can scrounge up by looting his PAC and selling MAGA merchandise. The only time he made any real money (according to him) was the salary he got from being on TV.
