If Trump had been asked the same question he would probably fumble then say something like "There were fine, fine people on both sides" And maybe say that we should not tear down monuments to Confederate Generals because they were some really good generals "I wish I had Generals like that!". Then just go back to complaining about Smith and being persecuted. Haley actually knew the correct answer. Trump has no idea why the Civil War was fought or even when. He might even get it confused with WW1 or the Revolutionary War. He knows nothing about history, American or otherwise.
