  7. Punitive damages means the opposite of what you said. Actual damages are real damages. Punitive damages are an amount meant to punish wrongful conduct.

  9. He will have to declare bankruptcy, sell off any assets, pay creditors. They plaintiffs won't get anywhere near the amount of the judgment but Rudy will be flat broke. His reputation is ruined. No one will hire him and he's getting old and disabled. His future is bleak.

  12. You must not have been a New Yorker when he was Mayor. And you are certainly not a widow of one of the firefighter who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001 due to Giuliani's corrupt practices. Read about the obsolete communications gear he forced the FDNY to buy because it was sold by a Giuliani donor. The obsolete analog gear couldn't transmit throught the steel mesh frame of the Towers to warn the firemen that the building was coming down.
