  1. Today's billionaires don't build like this. Or if they do it's on a much smaller scale. Noticing the elaborate plasterwork in this house I was reminded that much of it was applied by hand. A long tedious process. Today you buy pre-made molding, altough there are still artisans who do "real plaster" work, if you have the time and money. It takes weeks to dry.
