  1.  @hellfish2309  And nothing. The irony. During the Cuban missile crisis the US was extremely concerned (rightly so) that Russian ICBMs were be installed on Cuba, 60 miles from the US. Meanwhile we had a military base right on their island and it was never mentioned.

  2. Don't forget that the detention camp at Gitmo is a large US military base--In Cuba. Southwest Cuba. Cuba was part of the US after the Spanish American War.
