  1. Crime is up nationwide. New York has usually followed the national trends. In the 90's Giuliani took credit for the drop in the crime rate, but the FBI statistics showed NYC was in line with the rest of the country. It's supposedly related to economic conditions. Poor people steal.

  2.  @digital1937  Cases are on the rise among people who are not vaccinated. The Delta is so contagious that if you are not vaccinated you will probably catch it. It is serious and people are going on ventilators. Those who don't die will likely have long term symptoms. It harms the lungs, heart and brain.
