  1. People want the cheapest fares so they get rock bottom services. Before deregulation if you wanted a cheap fare you took the bus or a train. Plane travel was for the upper classes who could afford the fares. Before deregulation I never flew anywhere. Now I can afford it, but you get what you pay for,
