  4. None of the people I know who went to public (and private) schools well before 1972 had Latin from 7th to 12th grade. We had it as an elective in 12th grade if you had finished all required subjects. We certainly had English from 1st to 12th grade but in the first year it was really just Reading. I took one year of Latin, as did my wife and we both learned from it, but is wasn't required. One hundred or more years ago Latin and Greek were more commonly taught at learning institutions but they were mainly for the upper classes. At least that's my experience in the United States. Are you referring to Great Britain?

  5. Wyoming? What a joke. The statutory language is clear. Insurectionary conduct is sufficient to bar him from the ballot. If the legislators wanted the test to be "conviction" it would have stated so. It's a factual test, like over 35.
