  5. New hypersonic missile come in two catagories , HGV or Cruise ... Kinzhal is neither , its an air launched ballistic missile launched on a "quasi ballistc " path , very limited movement and tops at around Mach7-8 !

  20.  @jhedrich To be honest I think Russia could only mount a small ground attack against Iceland ... they simply don't have the navy to do it before allied forces would get there. I think its madness that in the 20th century a dictator has sent an army to take over territories of a sovereign country, costing the lives of millions of people , not just in the Ukraine, many other reaching countries ...and for what ?

Its only hypersonic in the high atmosphere and has limited movement , as it drops it slows to supersonic speed in the " thicker" air ... you bots really need to catch up , its a bit embarrassing !

The 1950`s GAM-87 Skybolt was an air launched ballistic missile exactly like the Kinzhal ,Uk even used it for a few year on its Vulcan bomber. The newer test`s are for a "true" hypersonic missile.... not something pretending to be like the Kinzhal. Go back to school kid and stop embarrassing yourself !

Yes it can reach hypersonic speed in the high atmosphere but thats all, it drops to supersonic speed in the lower "thicker" air. New "hypersonic "weapons come in two catagories, HGV and Cruise ... Kinzhal is neither.
