  1.  @TheLastCrumb.  The UK has had 196 Trident test firings from submarines, with five failures. The failure rate for the UK's tests is higher than the system's overall failure rate, which is under 3%.....Russia currently stand at 80% failure rate ! UK is an island so no need for a huge army..... who is going to invade ? Russia dont have the capability.... so who else ?

  6.  @Evan_Bell  New hypersonic weapons are in two classes , HGV and cruise ... Kizhal is neither. US made the exact same missile in the 1950`s ( GAM Skybolt ), do we class that as a hypersonic weapon too? , what about SM Block interceptors which get to Mach 13 ? Dark Eagle and DF-17 are both glide vehicles.
