Its an air launch ballistic missile , the US done the same in the 1950`s with a GAM-87 Skybolt As for defence the SM-3 Block 1A/B can do Mach 8.8, the Block IIA can do Mach 13.2 . Russian newest state of the art defence missiles cant even cope with 25 year old ATACMS & Storm Shadow`s 🤣
