Putin know`s he could never win a groundwar against NATO , thats why he hides behind the constant nuclear threat.He`s struggling with Ukraine , imaging if NATO did actually join the fight. You forget a single OHIO class submarine can fire 160 nuclear warhead in under a minute ? .... there are 14 subs , go do the maths.Russia would be a parking lot if they ever attacked with nuclear weapons. Russia have had 5 NATO neighbours for some time with no problems and even participated in joint NATO exercises until 2010 so there goes that theroy ! The reason nations next to Russia wanted NATO membership is due to the fact that Russia was the one posing threats to them, the Baltics are a huge example of this. So no, NATO not the ones that provoke or threaten, it is Russia, and you can't deny the fact !
