  6. @militant_pacifist Oh I know exactly what it is ... but you are wrong about the Minuteman , yes its Mach23 at burnout but the warheads only travel at high supersonic speeds in terminal phase as the air is too thick in the lower atmosphere to achieve anything hypersonic !

  8.  @michaelorden1  They cant achieve hypersonic speeds in the low atmosphere , the air is too thick. "New" hypersonic missile come in two catagories , HGV and Cruise .... Kinzhal is neither , its just a ballistic missile air launched on a quasi ballistic path, US made exactly the same missile in 1950`s ( GAM Skybolt ) .... do we call that a hypersonic missile ? SM-3 Block 1A/B can do Mach 8.8, the Block IIA can do Mach 13.2 ... are those "hypersonic" missiles too ?
