You know you hit on a certain concept about why there's such denial of global climate change. I know for example cars and trucks are a huge part of the issue. I recall as kid I used to ask where the exhaust from a car went.

Where I come from,Providence, RI - it was a very walkable city. For example just down the block from where I lived was DePasquale Plaza. It was basically a blocked off street with a huge fountain in it. But all sorts of retail and restaurants. Yes Providence was a colonial city. Even Atwells Avenue was loaded with shops and restaurants.

Back when I could ride a bike and lived in the notheast I had an AMF bike with speedometer on it. Use to take it over to High Service Ave. in North Providence, RI pedal about a mile down the road and then just crank. At the bottom of that hill I was doing 70MPH which is 112KMH at the bottom of the hill. With no helmet.

Fully aware of F=M * A but the thing is if you want horrid road design I suggest you visit Altanta, GA For a city that was burned to the ground in the mid 19th century well they still didn't get it right. .

Oh wow watching paint dry. Sorry not for me. I liken the American version of football to watching paint dry.

Oh wow I love the term Trash Pandas. That said yeah it would make perfect sense to install these in the U.S. too.

It's funny Covid-19 has changed groceries and restaurants in the U.S. Where I am in Georgia well I can get grocerie delivered to my door and plenty of restaurants too. And yeah suburbs always give me a feeling that people just don't care.

I'll say it again Acela in the U.S. with just a modicum of investment can do 200MPH. That' d mean say Boston to NYC would be about an hour and fifteen. The trains are Alstom just like the TGV. And even the diesel locomotive can fly along at 150MPH or more. It's just who owns most of the track in the U.S. it's all private companies.

Interesting I'm 38 miles away from Peachtree City GA.
