  2.  @fishpilgrim  Touch Tone aka DTMF for Dual Tone Multi Frequency dials were introduced in Pennsylvania. By the time we moved into our family home in 1972 the whole house was Touch Tone phones.

  3. I can tell you how we can eliminate IC engines in about 10 years. It's got nothing to do with tax credits in fact I believe those should be used by businesses. But for regular people subsidies to purchase electric cars and inexpensive loans for electrical improvements. Imagine the U.S. in 10 years if this were to come to pass. I've written this to congress critters too.

  5. I did REALLY good in high school and even college. Only way I slid was when I got bored which was pretty frequent during those years. Even now. The mischief starts in those cases.

  7. In my case it was my mom who died when I was 13 from metastatic cancer. There are many reasons, first medicine at the time was basically a shot in the dark. MRI didn't exist yet and CT was pretty much the best they had.

  9. Well we haven't met aliens just yet. We've just seen craft slip into and out of visibility. So one theory is they're projections from a universe with more dimensions and it's just a projection into our 3D well 4D world. That could be the case

  10. Yeah but electric takes time to come up however gas in on instantly. Hell if I build a place I want no grid connected electricity. I'll use solar and wind and natural gas powered generator for when it's just gray out and not windy. However that's a rare thing. And induction you cannot use aluminum pans.

  12. I wonder what effect I'm having by blocking all ads on principle. That includes on YouTube. I look at it this way I pay for the connectivity and therefore can shape the traffic coming to me in any way I see fit.
