  1. Oh hell the city I live in Providence, RI - Westminster St. downtown has been a pedestrian mall, then not, then a mall again then not. And the first mall in the U.S. was here, it's called the Arcade. This is Westminster in 1968: http://blogphotos.flyingdreams.org/riprovidence.jpg
