  1. I took three years of Spanish in high school. Plus heard and understood a lot of Italian as a child. But other linguistic cousin to English is Dutch and German - sometimes you hear cognates in those languages too.

  2. Oh my last name translates into English as Fur/Furrier. Also a trait we men in the family share.

  3. Another thing that might be of interest to the founding fathers - the game of football for example. Or the media we have available to us. Or the fact that it's not German that is the language of science anymore. It's English instead.
