I've had two MRIs, one of the skull, the other of my spine. Went off without a hitch. The spouse on the other hand has a piece of meta embedded in his cheek from an accident when he was a child. He thought it was a stone, nope metal. They found out when they tried to do a head MRI. Funny story my head MRI I watched them build the machine. It was down the hall from my office at the time.
