  1. Oh card processors these days are a rapacious bunch. But this company you mention seems to be one of the more greedy. And yes you can get your bank to do things for you that would screw Vantiv. And you're right - they don't ever want this to have judiciary contact.

  2. Well I've got experience with MacBook Pro's and Dell Latitude E6xxx and E7xxx and Lenovo T420, T430, T440 and T460 machines. I can tell you they're all expandable. Right down to removable SSD's and RAM. Microsoft went in the wrong direction with these Surfacebooks. It's like they're intentionally trying to piss their customers off.

  8. You could be me. At home I have a Dell Latitude running WIndows 10. But for work have a MacBook Pro - one of the things that drives me nuts - using default Apple hardware is there's no right click - this is fun when you're connecting via TeamViewer to a client computer running Windows and have to right click. And walked away after Apple pushed an update to the 2nd gen Touch that broke dock connectivity. That was the end of it with me and Apple.

  10. I am in now way a fan of Lenovo gear - why? Because from the T420/T430 to the T440 they changed the blasted power connectors and docks. Fuckers.

  11. That's the other thing that bugs the crap out of me - the trackpad on T440's suck. It's why I switched us over to Dell 7470's.

  12. Ok I get your point. I did similar. Now I'm at about 8 times minimum wage per hour. However I do think you're missing a point - if the federal minimum was $15 you could still jump to another job and still make $15 per hour.

  13. Louis, you ARE doing something about it. You make some very good points in this video. I've run into similar situations regarding women in tech. In my case it was a young black woman - they basically sidelined her because she was black and young. I took the time to find out she was a very skilled I.T. person. We're still friends to this day.

  14. I would be one of the last to defend Apple, but touch screens lock up on Samsung phones too. Of course holding down the power button or just dropping the battery solves that issue.

  20. I wonder what the issue is because you have to sit and watch a car when charging? And I owned a Chevy Trax didn't subscribe to OnStar but found out not only could they track the car but could remotely disable it too. Yeah a kid connived the key fob and stole it. Surprise I got it back. And oh yeah OnStar wouldn't tell me where it was. They told my local PD. The PD told me where it was.

  21. It's funny I've decided which car I want to buy.It's a Cadilllac of course and the electric Lyriq. I'll wait until 2023. They are a GM product so parts are no problem. And only slightly more expensive than a fucking Tesla Model 3.

  22. That's just Apple being stupid. I mean come on I could source a repair screen for my Dell Latitude E6420 easily. And I walked away from Apple products long ago.

  23. Actually on a Windows box - if you just use a bootable USB stick to boot Linux and then attached the new drive - just dd it. But one place I worked - they gave the I.T. people MacBooks - which when went to AD you cannot admin AD from a Mac OS-X machine. Went with Dell Latitude 7470's. Those let us RDP and even do AD work.

  24. This is why I won't buy a smart TV. I abhor most advertising. First off most of the ads are irrelevant to me. Secondly they're fucking annoying. And if you want you use a hardware firewall and block the ad serving sites. It's pretty simple. And if I plunk down money to buy something I own it, not Samsung. Even my washing machine and dryer - they're dumb. Well the dryer is. The washer is a high efficiency unit. But it just lights up LED"s to tell you what cycle it's in.

  27. I would pay maybe $300K for that. Because you're gonna have to spen $500K to clean and update it.Because dear non existent deity that is a hovel. Black mold, torn out ceilings and they can ask over $800K for that?
